My heart’s bound to this body 
By nothing, but skin
Nothing on the outside 
Reflects what is in
Beneath this exterior
Outside feels inferior
Beneath a shell
Not many know me well
Beneath this pain
The stain
They’ve left
Beneath all the tears
The years
I slept
Sleepwalk through my days
And I say 
They’ll go,
But they never leave
And they take 
My soul
They take it with them
My life, as a token
To those who treasure
Take deep pleasure
To alter my path
