climb

i had never lost
someone’s understanding
quite so drastically.

no one had ever reached these depths.

and then you climbed out of me.
the sight was seen.

i'm just another boulder
to climb upon.

don’t even notice
i’m there.

but the slip from the top,
when you're missing a rock...

a descent almost as deadly as mine.

but that’s up,
and i’m down now
